I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, where both of my parents came to live in from Cape Verde, when they were younger. I just finished my master in Architecture and now I’m starting another course in education, hoping that one day I’ll be opening a cultural and teaching space for arts and architecture in Cape Verde, allowing the exchange and connection between several countries in Africa.
The X point on the cover is, in this case, a starting point: it leads us to a map that has no references. When we open the moleskine notebook this lo- cation point crosses several other existing maps, some that I know and some that I don’t, theses maps represent the choices made by others, or choices that others want me to make. Therefore, I decided to make my own map and the X is where I am now. I want to be the leader of my life and I want to be able to draw my own path considering what others are saying to me, or what they believe.
