This notebook expresses all the author’s worries and questions about Africa’s future. The artist starts from the idea that without a common destiny for Africa none of the African countries could actually develop. The pages are made by a long series of questions which are all introduced by the word “when?”. The questions dig deeply into Africa’s problems. The author wonders when wars are going to end, obviously, but also when we could consider Africa a united country with a common currency and a strong economy that could avoid the dependence from foreign countries and could reduce the export and the sale of raw materials. Although the answers to these questions are postponed to a further future, the notebook is optimistic and is made to represent a single passport valid for the whole African continent.
