Racine Gaye’s notebook tells about spring. Not just because of the blast of colors and little flowers that run through the pages and bloom on the cover, but overall because she shows us a young and fresh point of view about the big themes processed in the workshop. Young are the small and colored handprints left on the notebook’s pages, young is the manner to spread glitters and colors, young are the puns like the acronym on the first page and young are also the thoughts explained. Every page fronts a theme splitting it in positive, negative and symbolic meaning. The artist makes a game which is capable to move the reflection to a deeper level where every possible meaning of the words is explored. Progressive and dreamer the artist defends the importance of cultural diversity considering it as a resource that, with the support of education, lead to the develop of the entire society.
