Drawing on an in-depth analysis of the ‘Arte Povera’ conceptual fundamentals, in particular on the concepts of energy, process, empty and full, negative and positive, banality, repetition, and so on, Michelangelo Consani focuses on a wide range of environmental projects, which have sparked his interest in contemporary physical and scientific theories. ‘Environmental’, however, refers to a broadened concept of action in reality, which is not limited to established artistic genres, but is intended as a direct multidisciplinary action, so to speak, in both the collective and individual material and imagination.
