Matisse Mesnil was born in Castiglion Fiorentino (Italy) in 1989. He lives and works in Paris (France). He is a plastic artist who has also worked as a set designer in cinema. He is interested in urban spaces, especially in the dialogue between nature and culture, frame and landscape. His work pays particular attention to what Gilles Clément has defined “tiers paysage”, a liminal space where natural and artificial meet.
