Ilan Toure

Notebook Concept

During the AtWork Abidjan workshop, the students have visited the village of Adjahui with the aim of living an immersive experience into the nature and into the traditions of the place. That day the students have lived closer to the inhabitants and the children of the village. Excited by the experience, many students allowed children to draw on their notebook, enriching the artworks with tenderness and fantasy. The Ilan Toure’s notebook, in contrast to the other ones, is entirely made up by childish sketches, maybe drawn by the children of Adjahui. The subjects of the drawings, mermaids, princesses, little hearts and animals, suggest that it was a little girl who made them.
