Notebook Concept

Losing trust in someone often destroys every certainty gained over time. But one loses the trust in the State and the law, then one feels completely betrayed and abandoned.
In 2012 in Senegal, many citizens felt this way, so they took to the streets and demonstrated their anger and government opposition. This notebook gives us an exact report of those violent moments and opens the door to many reflections. What defines a Country’s identity? Faith? Law? The flag? Maps borders? Is it the institutions that make a State or it is the common values? It is the symbols or the people’s voice?

(the concept’s text is by Raffaella Carillo)
